Why this matters

Your photo is your shopfront now.

A customer deciding where to have lunch, where to get their hair cut or which plumber to call does not walk past your door any more. They see one photo, on a phone, in a list of competitors, and they decide in about two seconds. That single image is doing the work your window display used to do.

For most small businesses in New Zealand, that image is not on their own website. It is on their Google Business Profile, and it was taken years ago on somebody else’s phone in bad light. Google states that businesses which add photos to their profile get 42 percent more requests for directions and 35 percent more click throughs to their website. No amount of paid advertising is cheaper than fixing that.

You are not competing on how good your coffee is. You are competing on how good your coffee looks at 11am on somebody’s phone.

The second surface is the feed. Instagram, Facebook and TikTok all now weight short vertical video far above static images, which means a business posting only photos is quietly being shown to fewer people every month. And because most short form video is watched muted, anything without captions is close to invisible even when it does get shown.

None of this needs an agency. It needs a steady supply of assets that look deliberate, arriving often enough that posting is a five minute job rather than a decision. That is the entire product.

Side by side

The same room, the same afternoon.

The photo on the left is what most small businesses have. Taken on a phone, on an overcast day, with the interior lights fighting the window. It is honest, and it undersells the room badly.

The photo on the right is the same shot after Renvue. Nothing has been added, moved or invented. The light has been rebuilt, the colour graded, and the flat grey floor returned to the warm timber it actually is.

A customer choosing where to have lunch is looking at one photo for two seconds. This is that photo.

What we do

Everything your feed and your Google listing needs.

Product and menu imagery

From $55 an image

Clean commercial shots built from photos you take yourself, usually on a bench near a window. We correct the white balance so a flat white actually looks like a flat white, even out the lighting, and grade the whole range to one consistent look so your online store does not read as a jumble.

Food is the hardest category and the one that pays back fastest. Phone cameras render food under warm cafe lighting badly, and a grey looking burger sells nothing. Getting the colour honest is most of the job.

  • Colour corrected and matched across the range
  • Pure white background cutouts on request
  • Shadows and reflections rebuilt where needed
  • Sized for Shopify, Trade Me, Instagram and print
  • Consistent crop and framing across a range
  • Volume pricing from $75 down to $55 an image

Market rate: New Zealand studios commonly charge $79 an image for 1 to 5, $69 for 6 to 10 and $59 for 10 or more, and that is before the shoot booking and any travel.

Short form video

From $165 a video

Vertical video built from your stills, with real motion rather than a slideshow. Cut to a licensed music bed with captions burned in, because the large majority of short form video is watched with the sound off and an uncaptioned video simply does not land.

Every platform now weights short vertical video more heavily than static images in the feed, which means the cheapest way to get reach is to stop posting only photos.

  • Up to 30 seconds, vertical 9:16
  • Square 1:1 cut included at no extra cost
  • Captions burned in, not auto generated at upload
  • Licensed music, cleared for commercial use
  • Your logo bug and brand colours
  • Delivered ready to schedule, no editing needed

Market rate: A single social reel from a New Zealand production company starts around $180 plus GST, and most set a two video minimum, so the real entry point is closer to $360.

Walkthrough film

From $415

The one to two minute film that sits on your homepage, your Google listing and the top of your Facebook page. It is the piece of content that makes somebody decide to come in rather than scroll past, and for a hospitality or retail business it does more work than any other single asset.

Built from a walk around with your phone rather than a crew in your business for half a day, which also means you are not closing early or working around a shoot.

  • One to two minutes finished
  • Landscape and vertical versions
  • Licensed music and light sound design
  • Titles, address and opening hours
  • A 15 second teaser cut for socials
  • No shoot day and no disruption to trading

Market rate: A one to two minute promotional video in Auckland starts around $450 plus GST at the budget end and climbs steeply once a crew and a shoot day are involved.

Google Business Profile imagery

From $185

This is the most undervalued surface in local marketing. For most businesses, the Google listing is the first image a customer ever sees, well before the website or the Instagram grid, and for most businesses it is years out of date and dominated by customer snapshots taken in bad light.

Google states that businesses which add photos to their Business Profile receive 42 percent more requests for directions and 35 percent more click throughs to their website than businesses that do not. Those are Google’s own figures, and they are the cheapest conversion lift available to a local business.

  • 12 images enhanced and correctly sized
  • Exterior, interior, product and team coverage
  • Cover and logo images sized to Google spec
  • Ordered so the strongest image lands first
  • Geo relevant naming for the upload
  • Upload instructions, or we walk you through it

Market rate: A Google Business Profile photo session in New Zealand generally runs $300 to $600 depending on how many categories are covered.

UGC style content

Included in plans

Casual, native looking content that does not read as an ad. On every short form platform, content that looks like it was made by a customer consistently outperforms content that looks like it was made by an agency, because the feed is a social space and an ad interrupts it.

This is deliberately rougher than the rest of our work. Handheld framing, natural light, no glossy grade. It is a different job from the hero imagery and it belongs in a different slot in your calendar.

  • Deliberately unpolished, native to the platform
  • Vertical first, shot to look handheld
  • Text overlays in platform native styles
  • Trend aware without chasing every trend
  • Works alongside your polished hero content
  • Included on Storefront and Flagship plans

Market rate: UGC creators in Australia and New Zealand typically charge per video for this format, and a small batch usually lands in the mid hundreds before any usage rights are negotiated.

Seasonal campaign sets

Included in plans

A matched set of images and video for one promotion, a new menu, a sale or a season. Briefed once, delivered as a single batch, named and ordered so you can schedule the whole thing in an afternoon.

Most small businesses do not have a content problem, they have a batching problem. Posting is easy when a month of assets is sitting in one folder, and impossible when every post needs a decision.

  • One brief covers the whole campaign
  • Matched look across every asset in the set
  • Sized per platform in one delivery
  • Captions drafted for each asset
  • Named and ordered for scheduling
  • Included quarterly on Storefront, monthly on Flagship

Market rate: Agencies generally fold this into a monthly retainer of $1,500 to $5,000 for a small business, most of which pays for strategy and account management rather than assets.

How it works

No shoot day. No studio booking.

Step 01

You shoot

Ten minutes on a quiet morning. Your space, your product, your team. Phone photos are fine. We send a shot list the first month so you know what to capture.

Step 02

We produce

Your batch comes back as finished assets. Images sized per platform, videos in vertical and square, captions written if you want them.

Step 03

You post

Everything arrives in one folder, named and ordered so you can schedule a month in an afternoon. We do not post for you, so you keep your own voice.

Pricing

These are advertised New Zealand commercial rates that any business would pay. There is no trade discount hidden in the left hand column.

Studio figures are advertised starting rates from New Zealand commercial photography and video providers as at August 2026. Renvue business plans are priced 5 to 10 percent under the closest comparable retainer, and the larger saving is in what you do not spend: no shoot day, no travel, no closing early, no waiting on a booking. We work from photos you take yourself. We do not send a photographer.

Questions

What business owners ask first.

Do you run my social media accounts too?

No, and that is deliberate. Renvue makes the assets. You decide what goes out, when, and in whose voice.

It is worth being clear about this, because you will compare us to agencies charging $299 to $649 a month that include scheduling and community management. Those packages mostly recycle stock and repost, so the content itself is thin. We do the opposite: original imagery and video from your actual space and products, and you keep the posting. If you want somebody to write and publish for you as well, we are the wrong fit and we will say so on the first call.

My photos are terrible. Is that a problem?

Only if they are out of focus. Exposure, colour, flat light, a dull sky, a grey looking floor: all of that is exactly what we fix. The cafe on this page was shot on a phone on an overcast day.

What we cannot fix is motion blur, a badly wrong angle, or a room that is genuinely a mess. We will tell you before we start, not after we invoice.

Is it AI, and does that matter for my customers?

Yes, AI assisted. For enhancement that is no different from what a retoucher has always done: light, colour and clarity.

Where it matters, we hold a hard line. We do not invent food you do not serve, products you do not sell, or a space you do not have. We will not add customers who were never there, or make a room look bigger than it is. A customer who walks in should recognise the place from the photo. That is the test, and if a request fails it we will not do it.

What if I do not use my whole allowance?

Unused assets do not roll over, so pick the plan that matches a normal month rather than your busiest one. You can move up or down a tier with 30 days’ notice at any time.

If you are consistently under using a plan, we will tell you to drop a tier. It is cheaper for us to keep you for two years than to over sell you for three months.

How fast, and how do I send things?

24 hours on Storefront and Flagship, 48 on Counter, from when your photos land. Send them however suits: through the form on this site, a shared folder, or email.

Most businesses do one ten minute photo session a month and we handle the rest in batches.

Who owns the images?

You do, outright. Full commercial rights, unlimited use, no expiry, on every plan and every one-off job, including the free first image and 10 second video, whether you go on to buy anything or not.
